Where do you live and study?

I live in rural New South Wales, Australia, where the stunning landscape often fuels my creativity. My artistic journey began with a Bachelor Degree in Art from the National Art School in Darlinghurst, where I majored in Photography and earned High Distinctions in Life Drawing. These accolades instilled a sense of accomplishment and deepened my passion for the arts.

 

How would you describe your practice?

My artwork draws inspiration from the beauty around me—people, nature, light, colour, and composition. In 2022, I embarked on an exciting new adventure by changing my artistic medium. I became intrigued by the potential of translating traditional art forms into the digital space. My background in analogue techniques—drawing and photography—continues to influence my work, allowing me to weave elements of my past into my current creations. Now, I’m adding another chapter to my journey by learning the fascinating method of pinhole photography, an enchanting and accessible form of imaging that relies on the simplest of camera designs. This method combines my love for capturing fleeting moments in an unseen but mesmerizing way.

 

What do you think about the future of Artists?

As I observed the growth of e-commerce, I recognized the potential it offered small businesses like mine thrive. I seized the opportunity to create a platform where I could authentically showcase my art. Building my website was both a challenge and an exhilarating experience, as I navigated the complexities of remote production and shipping, laying the groundwork for my dream. By utilizing a print-on-demand process, each piece I create is uniquely mine and in my control, embodying my vision and heart. Even as I carve my own path, I remain connected to the art community through social media, which has opened exciting opportunities for me to share my work globally. Each exhibition serves as a reminder of my journey and the dreams I continue to pursue.
