Here I would love to share the real reasons why art is a true benefit to all hospitable environments. Little is said about this unity between art and hospitality, and how it enhances guest experiences.
The union between art and hospitality dives deeper than most tend to think about. It is one of those things we easily take for granted when we enter someone’s home, or stay in a hotel room or even enter a cafe or restaurant.
Exceptional hospitality is defined by a high-end experience created by a host to ensure all guests receive a sense of welcoming, being treated, and leaving satisfied. This is human, and in effect has no parameters to class, cost, location or demographic.
Art is an essential piece of this experience. Commonly integrated with food, architecture, music and exceptional service, art can contribute to creating a unique experience. And it isn’t necessary to have expensive art to be effective.
Have you ever noticed that art is always placed near comfortable seating? Art is made to be adored. It is proven that the presence of good art can stimulate an activeness of energy into any space. Nobody feels comfortable entering a place which feels sterile and void of any energy. Using the right pieces can create the right energy you want to portray for your space. And a great first impression can create a lasting one, and it is in our nature to return to these places where we feel connected and comfortable.
Harnessing art can also take a brand from ordinary to next-level. Art is of course narrative and can cement a place's personality, values and story. Having artworks which are in line with what you want to say will establish that strong bond with your audience.
Creating a sincere and exceptional hospitable environment is in the end an art itself. “The art of hospitality”. I have worked many days and nights in hotels, bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants and I can tell you, a well presented and sophisticatedly designed space will not only attract a community of guests seeking that experience, but also attracts like minded people who want to work in that environment, portraying those ideals in their customer service and efficiency.
Art isn’t just trendy, it truly does rouse a dynamism within people.
Combining my two passions was a no brainer, and now I graciously get to share my concept. My hope is that this website can provide an easy way for home makers, business owners and interior designers to access high quality, yet affordable, artworks to help inject this power into their spaces. And be available to serve any scale of project whether big or small. Please join me on this journey, and of course contact me if you have any feedback.
Let’s go.
